In 2014 Drogheda Homeless Aid started a new project that was designed to educate and inform young people about Mental Health with an overall goal to reduce the stigma associated with this topic.
The programme was facilitated by Drogheda Homeless Aid staff member Emma Moore and our volunteer Luke. We visited 10 schools and youth groups in the Louth area and delivered the programme to nearly 130 young people. The programme was very well received by all participants and we feel that it has made a big difference to their understanding of mental health issues.
This project was funded by the Community Foundation of Ireland under their Caring Communities Grant Scheme.
