Celebrities are helping DHA's Sleep Out campaign and raising awareness of homeless in our community as this become a sad reality of our times.

Homelessness is now a national emergencys as the numbers of people faced by the prospect continues to rise.   Billy McGuiness of Aslan and Lauren Finglas joined Maria Ward (Board member) and Niamh Corcoran and Luke Kelly recently to highlight the issues of homelessness and to support the upcoming Drogheda Homeless Aid Sleep Out. Maria Ward commented 'Drogheda Homeless Aid has worked hard throughout this crisis to maintain and add capacity to existing services. Our core operation continues to be a 25-bed hostel through which 300 people were accommodated over the past year alone. To provide this service, our largest fundraiser of the year is a Sponsored Sleep Out, to be held on the 12th & 13th December . You can choose to support us by doing the sleep out for 12 or 24 hours on West Street Drogheda; or by taking part in our bucket collection for 3 hours which takes place throughout Saturday 12th December.'
