Over 30 Drogheda Homeless Aid volunteers attended an appreciation evening which was held in the d hotel last night, Wednesday 11th November. The event was attended by Mayor Paul Bell who stressed the importance of the work of Drogheda Homeless Aid in the community.
Mayor Bell also noted the critical role played by volunteers in supporting the significant efforts of Drogheda Homeless Aid in addressing the issues of homelessness in Louth and Meath.
The Chairman of Drogheda Homeless Aid, Paul Murphy, acknowledged the valuable contribution that all of our volunteers make – “we simply could not do the work we do without your commitment and we place a real value on the time you all give” he told them.
“As you know, we rely on the goodwill of our community and you as volunteers have given willingly of your time showing how we all can work together to help at a time of national housing and homeless crises.”
